Little is known about this castle and there’s not much left of it!

We don’t know exactly how we are connected with this castle, but the name is a give away!

The property that ‘owns’ the castle is called ‘Malefant Grange’.

It was given ‘scheduled monument’ status by CADW in 2017 – their full description can be found here.

In 2018 a neighbour to the ruin was concerned that it may collapse. You can find full reports on this by Googling “Llanmaes norman castle collapse”.

Visiting it is unlikely as it is on private property, but it is visible from the road 🙂
